Beginging of a Furniture Project

I bought a claw foot tub today! Yippee!!! And it is a BEAUTY. You all should be very jealous. The Lady I bought it from was selling her awesome Victorian House and just redid her bath so needed to get rid of it fast. To my benefit she sold it to me for $100. What a great deal! Getting it into my apartment was a real joy, though. It took 3 of us to carry it around the front courtyard, up 1 flight of stairs, into my apartment, and onto the Balcony! Let me tell you that thing is HEAVY! But I have the best, and strongest, roommates that helped get it in.
Did I forget to mention why i bought a claw foot tub?! Well, that is the exciting part! I am required to build a piece of furniture for one of m
y classes. I have always LOVED and ADORED the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's and even more loved Holly Golightly's style. Her Claw foot tub sofa is the most amazing thing I have ever seen.

So in pure "Jenni" Style, I am going to make a sort replica of it! And I will document as much as I can on here so you can keep up! Here are some pictures of my B-E-A-U-TIFUL tub.... It needs a lot of work, but I can do it!

The Start of Something New!

Hey World Wide Web! I have been meaning to start a blog for a while now. And with Fall coming into view I figure there is no time better then now! These pages will be filled with ideas that come into my head, things that inspire me, and of course a first hand glimpse into life in Nashville!

This will probably be the only time I write about politicts, so take it all in now! lol As much as I do not like the subject, I had a good time at the front lines of the debate.
The Presidential Debate was held a block away from my house the other day! I do not think Belmont has gotten this much action in years! Batman and I walked down there to see what all the buzz was about! I could not believe my eyes! I thought I was walking down to a simple, small crowd of people hoping to see the canidate of their choice. But Boy was I wrong about that. So many people showed up, mostly Obama supporters, a big crowd of 3rd party supporters and a few people for McCain! And since pictures speak louder then words.... Check it out!
